The All God’s Children Community Choir is a multiracial, multicultural group of talented and enthusiastic children and teens, ages 4 to 18, drawn from ten different communities in Southwest Michigan. Led by a multiethnic team of directors, the choir is now in its eleventh year, inspiring audiences with its message of brotherhood and sisterhood, unity, friendship, peace and respect for all people. ASL DEMONSTRATION WORKSHOP
Attend the screening of the documentary film, Deaf Jam and join us afterward for an American Sign Language demonstration workshop with deaf poet and scholar Peter S. Cook. Cook is Associate Professor in the Department of ASL-English Interpretation at Columbia College Chicago and an internationally-known deaf performing artist whose work incorporates ASL, pantomime, storytelling, acting and movement.
