This year, we received 22 entries from 4 states! This year's criteria retained the 5-minute time limit with an added restriction: all soundtrack music had to come from a copyright-free source. The Audience Favorite Award returns for the second year in a row. To vote, attend a screening of the YFC Short Films program on March 11th or 15th and cast your ballot as you leave. INTERRUPTIONS (2017) I’m a student at Niles High School. I love drawing, painting, dancing and music. My film centers on a monk who has some ‘slight’ interruptions while meditating. Art to me isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way of life!

BEING BULLIED (2017) A quirky bully video that shows how middle schoolers feel half of the time. I wrote the lyrics and got help from the choir teacher to compose the music.

PARAISO (2016) I got a CIEE scholarship in 2016 to study Spanish in Valparaiso, Chile. While I was there, I documented the sights and sounds. My dream is to become a filmmaker and travel the world. Paraiso means paradise.
